MyPet
MyPet is a plugin which allows you to capture mobs and make them your pet. These pets can be given special skills such as the ability to ride and help in pvp. It is also very useful when moving villagers.
Capturing a Mob as yout Pet
Before you can capture a mob as your pet, you need to reach the Novice rank. This can be done by doing /rankup 4 times, for a total of $210,000.
Once you are at Novice rank, you can do the following:
- Find the mob you wish to make into a pet*
- Run the command
/pch - Using a lead, kit the mob until it becomes your pet
*Not all mobs can become pets, see below for the limitations
The following cannot be made into pets:
- Ender Dragon
- Wither
Skilltrees
Skilltrees allow your pet to gain new skills and abilities, which you can use to assist in tasks.
To give your pet a skill, run the command /pcst and select the skill you wish to assign to your pet.
To level up your pet, simply have the pet kill mobs. Your pet will also gain some XP when you kill mobs yourself.
Equiping your Pet
Depending on the mob you make as your pet, it may be able to hold items or wear armour. For example, a Wither Skeleton.
-
To equip your pet, sneak + right-click your pet with your chosen item.
-
To remove an item from your pet, sneak + right-click your pet with shears.
Naming your Pet
To name your pet, run /petname [name]. Please make sure this name is appropriate for the server and does not violate any server rules.
Pet Behaviour
To set your pets behaviour, use /petbehaviour. You will unlock more behaviours as your pet levels up, based on the skilltree your pet currently has enabled.
The following behaviours can be selecteed:
- Friendly: won't fight, even if attacked
- Normal: acts like a normal wolf
- Aggressive: attacks everything within 15 blocks of you
- Farm: attacks hostile mobs within 15 blocks of you
- Raid: won't attack players or their pets
- Duel: attacks other duel pets within 5 blocks
Feeding your Pet
You need to feed your pet to keep it alive. The hungrier your pet is, the weaker it will be and less damage will be dealt.
All pets have their own specific food they eat. You can find this using /petinfo.
Pet Storage
Depending on your rank, you can own multiple pets. However, you can only have 1 active at a given time. Therefore, you need to store pets.
To store your pet, allowing you to take out a new one, use /petstore, or /pst. Once your pet has been stored, you can capture other pets. To switch between your pets, use /petswitch or /psw.
If you wish to only temporarily send your pet away, you can use /petsendaway, or /psa. To call your pet back, use /petcall. While your pet is sent away, you cannot capture other pets.
